Today in Review
We’re having a very quiet and low-key New Year’s Day. I’m trying to implement a “seed habit” this year in place of resolutions, beginning with the habit of becoming more observant – of where I spend my money, of how I dedicate my time, of what food I eat, etc. Hence, blogs like this that force me to simply pay attention to the uniqueness of even the most laid-back days.
Today’s Highlight
Jason woke up, annoyingly, after he had slept for his nap for only about 10 minutes. I was a bit grumpy when his cries interrupted my work. But when I picked him up he gave me the biggest smile of his young life – and it was all good.

I’ve always been hopelessly nostalgic, remembering fondly where this journey in life has taken me thus far. Music is one thing that always brings me back. So on this day that is set aside for reflecting on the past and anticipating the future, this mashup of songs performed by a few of my favorite bands during high school was especially powerful.
